These are some of the more striking commentary that I read from blogs that participated in that campaign.
[Quote]
some of them describe themselves that they are deviants and fags !
some of them pray, fast and one of them went to Haj!
one of them tried to observe the sanctity of ramadan by abstaining from sex until after ramadan.
One of them is fascinated by the sufi sheik Mihyee Al Deen Ibn Arabi
their is a piece of news that they are talking about the spread of a flesh eating disease.- بعضهم يصفون أنفسهم بكل صراحة بأنهم (شواذ ومنحرفون)!
Isn’t it fascinating how they attribute homosexuality to the lack of religious inhibitions and yet balk when they find them fairly religious. That was from a person that did a survey of gay blogs and discerned they are sexual problems and are mentally ill. How true !
This person starts another post with

I removed all the quotes that incite on hate -because that is not acceptable in our campaign as you know-
The problem is that while they might full heatedly feel that way, it’s the fact that they don’t recognize bigotry as such and it raises no flags for them when they quote comments such as
[quote]
“If personal safety means discrimination, then I’m all for it.”
–Janet Parshall
“Most of these feminists are radical, frustrated lesbians, many of them, and man-haters, and failures in their relationships with men, and who have declared war on the male gender. The Biblical condemnation of feminism has to do with its radical philosophy and goals. That’s the bottom line.”–Jerry Falwell

Kill the passive and the active and the way to kill them is by throwing them from the top of the tallest building and then stoning them
[quote]
Now i hate all those homosexuals and i wish to find one doing such a thing so i can rip him with my teeth and crush his bones and spit in his face
Some just had a curious take on cultural difference between Britain and the Arab world, and how they couldn’t comprehend certain actions that are normal in the arab world while frowned upon over there. They attributed the differences to their “forced” acceptance of homosexuals and that deep down inside they despise them [personally i think it has to do more with christian culture and growing up in a hands off culture]

[in an ESL class]A brazilian foreign student said that he enjoys cooking, washing dishes and cleaning the house so i [the syrian blogger] joked to him “if thats the case i want to marry you” and the guy burst out of his seat and the whole class was angry … it didn’t even occur to me that it was related to sexual deviants !!!
When i saw my friend[his friend from syria was visitng] i hugged him and kissed him then we noticed all the pedestrians looking at us weirdly, then we got it! men are allowed to kiss everything, even dogs, except for other men
The most hilarious commentary was the following
[quote]
Roy and Silo [they are the gay penguins] are gay bastards. They are having a same-sex affair without our consent. We should probably seek to either destroy them or straighten up their behaviour. I am not sure how do we do that though?[...]
they’d say “if it’s natural, then why animals don’t do it?”. I am not sure how would they react to findings of such study as above, they’d probably write it off as a Zionist/Crusaders conspiracy, or they’d call it a test from the higher powers to see whose faith would wither at the sight of fornicating birds, and whose faith will hold. Or maybe they’d brand it as optical illusion.
But remember, no egg was forthcoming.
On the other hand, Some while not approving of homosexuals or what they stand for felt compelled to defend them in order to defend the values that they stand for
[quote]
Thanks but no thanks. The fanatics, the fomenters, the hypocrites, the bigots, the knaves gave me no choice but to defend a Syria of multiplicity and to protect my own freedom of choice.
while some tried to pull things down to earth a bit and trying to present a more balanced view and giving a valuable advice to both side, in his view he sees that people are getting a head of themselves on both sides of the equation
[quote]
Don’t ask the society as a whole, men and women, to change for you. the most you can ask of arabic society in the years to come is to change their description of you from sexual deviant and fagot to homosexual or “gay” [..] the arabic society is not going to go to LGBT sites and educate himself, the burden is on you to educate the society around you, step by step while paying close attention that you respect to its culture and traditions rather than blindly following the experiences of other societies and getting frustrated because it didn’t work… be patient for it will take decades of education about personal freedoms and respecting them as long they don’t hurt anyone
It was interesting how one of the bloggers pondered the question
[quote]
Logically each one of us must have a relationship with atleast one homosexual in his life (if we accepted that 1% of the population are homosexuals) so have you ever noticed a homosexual ? if he was only obsessed with the sexual side of things could he pull a facade to the extent than no one can notice his sexual interests.
some of the questions asked where really brilliant and it shows just how much us as men don’t realize what a women has to go through everyday
[quote]
let assume that a fagot liked another “natural” guy… does he have the right to seduce him since his behavior is as natural as someone attracted to the opposite sex…
Who said that its fine to blatantly seduce someone of any sex for any reason ? women complain all the time about unsolicited approaches from uninhibited guys, so i guess one way to drive the point home is to explain it in this way. in case you are looking for an answer i would suggest you ask some of the women in your life how they deal with such a situation.
The conclusion of everyone that participated in the campaign can be summarized with the words of this blogger
[quote]
We will be overwhelmed with joy if we find a fagot back away from his deviation, going against his instinct and repenting to god
But not one actually bother to look into what sort of medication or practices are there to make a homosexual into a normal human being, and i doubt they ever looked at the success rate of such practices. maybe that would have helped provide some sort of a solution for those genuinely trying to change their sexual orientation [something i don't advise attempting]
Either way, along the lines of razan’s post , i think the whole exercise was a success, and i think i owe mohammad online some thanks for starting it. Even though we might disagree about almost everything, he should always stand for his right to say whatever he wants (keeping in mind the right of others to do the same) and I will be the first one to defend his right if its ever compromised.
hope you enjoyed !
